How To Connect To KNUST Wi-Fi For Free.

Congratulations and you are welcome to the best University in West Africa. It very good to always have data to do your research on online and other staffs.

The esteem University provides wireless access to its undergraduates, Postgraduates, and staff to assist with academic work. As a Kwame Nkrumah University of Science And Technology student, you can have the access to the school Wifi by connecting with your credentials.

In this article, I am coming to show how to successfully connect your Android phone, iphone or laptop to the KNUST Wifi.

Let take it one after the other, am coming to show you how to connect to KNUST Wifi for Android users on Campus.

Below is the step – step guide to connect to the KNUST Wifi on Android;

Step 1: Go to Settings on your Android device and select WIFI or WIFI Connection.

Step 2: Click On KNUST WIFI to configure your device for use.

Step 3: Select Advanced options. You should see the options to configure, such as the EAP method, etc.

Step 4: Under EAP Method > Choose TTLS, Under phase 2 authentication > choose PAP. Every other settings should be left as they are.

Some selected android phones do not have the configuration settings in advanced options. Options for such devices, EAP method and phase 2 authentication cab be found immediately you click on the KNUST WIFI.

Step 5: Now enter your username and password in the space provided under identify and password, respectively. NOTE, for anonymous identify, you can put your first name there or leave it blank.

Step 6: Ensure the credentials are properly inputted and connected. Your device should be connected.

NOTE: For some case where the connect button seems to be inactive, in the same location for step 4(a and B), under CA certificate, make sure you select “do not validate” your connect button will become active.

Below is the step-by step guide to connect to the KNUST WiFi on Android;

Step 1: Click and download the files using the highlighted link using IPhone, the download button cann be found in the top right corner, choose direct download.

Step 2: After selecting the download option, a new window opens up with some information, just tap on the install button in the top right corner. Enter passcode (if requested) then tap on install again and tap on it again.

step 3: Now enter the username. Tap on the next again, Finally, tap on done.

Step 4: Go to Settings, WIFI, turn on WIFI and then select KNUST WIFI connect. Type your password if requested, a page with KNUST radius appears. Choose the accept option, and you are good to go

Also below is the step-by step guideline to connect to the KNUST WIFI on Laptop.

Step 1: on your laptop wifi to search from your list of available WIFI networks

Step 2: Choose KNUST WIFI in your list of wireless networks

Step 3: Enter the KNUST Credential when asked.

Step 4: The WIFI connection will then be established

Step 5: Incase of any problems, visit the UITS directorate (casely Hayford building last floor or the ICT center main Library
